A Brief History of Centerburg, OH 

Founded in 1834 by Stephen Sutton and Jacob Houck, Centerburg was named due to its midway point between Columbus and Mount Vernon. Following the introduction of the railroad, the Centerburg community began to grow. Currently, there are roughly 2,000 residents and the community continues to flourish. 

Centerburg's Community Events and Festivals

There are two major community events that attract residents and people living in areas nearby. 

The Old Time Farming Festival happens every September, where people gather at Memorial Park to celebrate farming. This event educates visitors and residents about the importance of farming, throughout history and in the present day. 

The Heart of Ohio USA Days Festival happens during the Summer, usually at the end of June. This event features parades, national and local music and performers, fireworks, amusement rides, concessions and vendors, and more! 

Centerburg Local Schools 

School-aged kids are able to attend the Centerburg Local Schools. This school system values working with family and community members to make learning a positive experience for all students, which, in turn, encourages students to strive for academic achievement and become good citizens.
