Looking for new places to shop and dine? You'll find Galena's main square tucked just off of Walnut Street. Here, residents can enjoy a cup of joe at The Coffee Vault, pick up a quick sandwich from Son of Thurman, or enjoy some old-fashioned comfort food from the Galena Diner. Larger chains and big-box stores await in nearby Westerville and Sunbury.

Local schools
Students in the Galena area are served by the Big Walnut Local School District. In total, the district operates four elementary schools, two middle schools, and one high school, in addition to virtual learning programs and an early learning center. BWLSD has also partnered with the Delaware Area Career Center to offer career and technical education opportunities to older students.

If you want to shorten your commute into Westerville or Columbus, Galena could be the right fit for you. To reach the area's larger cities, just hop on Route 3 and head south.
